Dorset Business Mentors Summer Social Brings Mentors Together
The Dorset Business Mentors Summer Social recently brought our mentor community together for an informal morning for discussion and shared learning. The event provided an opportunity for mentors to reconnect, strengthen relationships and celebrate the collective impact they continue to have on businesses across Dorset.
Events like these are an important part of Dorset Business Mentors. While our focus is always on supporting business owners and workplace mentoring, bringing mentors together helps us maintain the strong network that sits behind the service. It provides valuable opportunities to exchange experiences, discuss challenges and learn from one another.
The event also marked another year of support from Rob Jones and Rathbones, whose sponsorship continues to play an important role in helping Dorset Business Mentors deliver mentoring support to local businesses. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing commitment.
Guests also had the opportunity to meet Shelley Collins-Trevitt Head of Business Growth and Inward Investment for Business Growth Dorset and hear more about her organisation and the Dorset Ambassador Scheme, while Mark Hudson was recognised for the invaluable contribution he makes behind the scenes through client suitability conversations and support with mentor matching. His work helps ensure businesses are connected with the mentor best suited to their needs.
The event also provided an opportunity to thank Andrew Cook, Nick Gregory and Duncan Newman for the guidance and support they provided as part of the organisation's governance arrangements over recent years.
As part of the event, filming took place for a new Dorset Business Mentors promotional video. The video will feature mentors sharing their experiences and insights, helping local business owners better understand the value of mentoring and the support available through the service.
The Summer Social demonstrated the strength of the Dorset Business Mentors community and the dedication of the volunteers who give their time, knowledge and experience to help local businesses grow and succeed.
We look forward to building on this momentum as we continue supporting business owners across Dorset.
