Am I eligible?
We are looking for people who have experience in business – perhaps you specialise in a particular discipline (e.g. Finance, Marketing, HR, e-Commerce etc), have held senior management positions or had entrepreneurial or executive management experience – the key element is a desire to make a difference.
You must also be able to meet your mentee face-to-face or online on a monthly basis.
You will be invited to meet with our Program Managers who are responsible for selecting Mentors. References are required.
What’s the commitment?
We appreciate that your time is limited, but all we ask is typically a couple of hours of mentoring per month per mentee. However, we often find that mentors enjoy the experience so much that they give more time than the required minimum.
What do I get out of being a mentor?
Whilst you won’t get paid for being a mentor, there are lots of other benefits that come with the role:
Personal fulfilment of being able to give something back
Opportunity to pass on good business practice to someone who will benefit from your experience
Develop your interpersonal skills and guide you mentee through a key stage in their career
Learn as much from your mentee as they do from you
Develop a fresh perspective on your own career by adding mentorship to your skillset
Feel energised thanks to your mentee’s fresh enthusiasm
Satisfaction of watching a businessperson grow and develop with your help and support
Be involved in a successful community of mentors and be able to take part in our regular networking events
“If you have business experience, consider becoming a mentor. It is one of the most rewarding things I have done.………..and referring to client Prop Options “I genuinely look forward to our meetings; the growth, the excitement, the energy is palpable, it’s just a brilliant thing to be around.” Mark Snare - Mentor
